Welcome to Karuna Tattoo Studio
Your Tattoo Day Guide
By Appointment Only
Thank you for choosing to create something meaningful with me. I’m honored to welcome you into my studio.
Below is everything you’ll need to know for your tattoo day, so you can arrive relaxed, prepared, and at ease.
📍 Studio Address
4101 9th Ave N
Suite K
St. Petersburg, FL 33713
Maps may display “The Human Potential Clinic.” That is the correct building.
When you’re driving on 9th Ave N, please watch for the turn onto 41st St. It comes up fairly quickly, and the street sign is small and easy to miss.
🚗 Finding the Studio
The photos below will guide you from the street all the way to my studio entrance.
You’ll first see the building from the road.
Turn into the small driveway on the left.
Please park directly behind my little black Camry.
Follow the “K” signs.
🚪 When You Arrive
The studio door will be locked when you arrive.
Simply send me a quick text letting me know you’re here, and I’ll come welcome you inside.
You may hear some excited barking next door. There’s a puppy daycare beside the studio, and sometimes they’re having a little party out there. 🐶
🕯️ The Energy of the Space
Karuna Tattoo Studio is intentionally held as a calm and nurturing sanctuary.
To preserve that peaceful atmosphere, I keep the space free from conversations about religion and politics, allowing beauty, presence, and creativity to guide our time together.
💵 Payment
• Cash is preferred on the day of your appointment.
• Zelle is also accepted.
• Deposits are nonrefundable.
• If you need to reschedule, I kindly ask for at least 72 hours’ notice. Rescheduling requests made with less than 72 hours’ notice will result in the forfeiture of your deposit.
🎒 What to Bring
To help make your session as comfortable as possible, feel free to bring:
• Water
• Headphones
• Snacks (There is a small refrigerator available, but no microwave. Many clients bring a small cooler for longer sessions.)
• A pillow or soft blanket (please no pet hair… I’m unfortunately allergic. 😔)
• Fuzzy socks (A little snuggly never hurt anyone. 😌)
• Anything else that helps you feel comfortable, cozy, and cared for.
Many of my clients bring a heat pad to their appointments. Truly… whatever helps you feel nurtured and at ease is welcome here.
👕 What to Wear
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area we’ll be tattooing.
Neutral colors like creams, beiges, and oat meal are ideal. Earth tones, white, and black are great as well. These colors tend to photograph beautifully in the studio, but your comfort always comes first.
👟 Shoes
You’re welcome to remove your shoes when you arrive if you’d like.
There’s a small shoe rack by the entrance, but there is absolutely no expectation to use it.
Comfortable socks are always encouraged. 🧦
👥 Guests
Karuna Tattoo Studio is a private, intimate space.
If someone will be joining you, just let me know beforehand so I can ensure everyone is comfortable
Please no children.
📸 Photography & Studio Etiquette
• Please do not use flash photography while I’m tattooing. It can be quite distracting during the tattoo process.
• If you’d like to take photos or videos during your appointment, simply ask first. I’m always happy to help when it’s appropriate.
• Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the building.
• Please avoid alcohol before and during your appointment.
🧘 A Moment to Ground
Before we begin, I love to offer a short guided meditation and a few gentle breaths together.
It’s entirely optional, completely pressure free, and simply a way to settle into the moment before we begin creating.
If you’d rather skip it, that’s perfectly okay too.
☕ Nearby Coffee
If you’d like to grab a coffee or tea beforehand, there’s a Starbucks less than half a mile away.
3355 9th Ave N
(That’s Starbucks’ address… not the studio. 😊)
🎨 Tattoo Day Is Self Care Day
Please eat a nourishing breakfast, stay hydrated, and bring both your softness and your strength.
Today is a day dedicated to yourself.
I’m truly looking forward to creating something beautiful with you.
With love,
Anya Karuna 🖤
🖤 Before You Go
Your healing is just as important as your tattoo day.
